The eggs are sold to contract companies including Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Lund, Farm Fresh, Kemps, Trafficanda, Dutch Farms and Shoreland, according too many news reports.
Update: In addition to those brands, NuCal Foods in California issued another notice, saying it was also recalling several brands it had packaged from Wright County Egg. The Associated Press estimated that the expanded recall could involve as many as 380 million eggs.
The Food and Drug Administration posted Wright’s voluntary recall notice, noting that common salmonella symptoms include fever, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It also pointed consumers to the Web site, eggsafety.org for answers to any questions.

Eggs affected by this recall were distributed to food wholesalers, distribution centers and food service companies in California, Illinois,Nebraska, Colorado,Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesot and Iowa. Nationwide companies distribute these.Eggs are packaged under the following brand names: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemps. Eggs are packed in varying sizes of cartons (6-egg cartons, dozen egg cartons, 18-egg cartons) with Julian dates ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946. Dates and codes can be found stamped on the end of the egg carton. The plant number begins with the letter P and then the number. The Julian date follows the plant number, for example: P-1946 223.
NuCal Foods also said it was recalling Wright County eggs packaged in five-dozen groupings, distributed in Nevada and California under these names and codes:Nulaid Medium, 0-71230-02140-0 P-1091 167-174; Mountain Dairy Medium, 0-11110-89969-9, P-1951 193-208; Bayview, 7-17544-30172-1, P-1686 142-149;http://worldhotsearch1.blogspot.com/ Nulaid Medium, 0-71230-02140-0P-1951 195-210; and Sun Valley Medium, 6-48065-11432-6 P-1951 195-209.
