Narrated and executive produced by Oscar ® winner Forest Whitaker, ONE LAST SHOT takes viewers inside the maximum security prison in Angola, Louisiana, where the average sentence is over 90 years. The prisoners within its walls are the worst of the worst – rapists, kidnappers and murderers. With long prison sentences, 85 percent never return to live in the outside world. Instead, they will grow old and die in Angola. ONE LAST SHOT documents a hospice program where hardened criminals extraordinary care for their fellow prisoners dying. In this way, they embark on a journey that can end in personal rehabilitation. “One last photo shows the humanity that exists within each and every one of us,” said Whitaker. “In the Angola prison hospice, we find the inmates who choose to have a chance at redemption, which reminds us of the connection between each and every human being.” Volunteers are trained, pushed and tested. The group is self-sustaining and self-regulated. They work to be together after a devastating flood destroyed their land and forced them to leave place. Sons of perdition takes viewers inside the lives of three teenagers after escaping the complex Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints in the Utah / Arizona border, the oldest community in the U.S. polygamist. The previously announced Family Affair, an independent feature documentary film written and produced by David Colvard Chico, is a very personal documentary examining the history of the family of Colvard convincing.
